Work in Progress

Our efforts are now focusing on expanding and improving the military history museum housed on the second floor.  The old balcony has been refloored creating a span of almost 60 feet that has been designated the Raymond D. Beckman Heritage Hall.   The  new wall is planned to show a two-part time-line placing Lake City area military history within the larger picture of United States history.  Displays of local artifacts will complement the  time-line by telling how locals participated in historical events.  The Calhoun County Community Foundation has provided a grant to help fund replacing the ceiling and electrical wiring and lights.
